Fortifications Authority is looking for a Maintenance Technician in Arboga – could it be you? Your daily life – strengthening Sweden's total defense

The property portfolio in Arboga is growing through acquisitions and new constructions, and we need to grow to handle the maintenance and upkeep work! Today, we have four maintenance technicians on site in Arboga, and now we need more! We are responsible for the operation, supervision, care, and maintenance of the properties in our area. We are now expanding and looking for you who want to become part of our team and work with the maintenance and upkeep of our unique property portfolio. We are a secure and competent group looking forward to training new technician colleagues and sharing our knowledge with them!

The position involves maintenance assignments within our district, including work on technical installations and associated infrastructure, such as fire alarms, heating, electricity, water and sewage, ventilation, and cooling. Additional assignments from customers and smaller construction and technical projects are also common, where you are expected to be proactive and contribute your expertise. The role includes daily customer and supplier contacts, both independent and collaborative assignments, as well as administrative work in several IT support systems.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have completed upper secondary school and preferably attended a maintenance technician program, or have other education that we assess as relevant and suitable. You have work experience from a similar role within property operation and maintenance. We welcome both those with shorter and longer work experience in the field to apply! You have good administrative skills and are proficient in using various IT support systems. Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as a Class B driver's license, are also requirements for the position.

It is meritorious to have education and/or competence in cooling, control and regulation, ventilation, and electrical technology. We also view it positively if you have previously worked in a security-classified environment such as hospitals, power plants, or similar.

About the employment

The positions are permanent, with a probationary period possibly applicable. Swedish citizenship is a requirement, as positions at the Fortifications Authority are security-classified. Location: Arboga. This means that security checks and register controls will be conducted in accordance with provisions in the Security Protection Act.
