In the midst of the ongoing energy transition, Omexom has a strong and established order backlog that drives our growth forward. We need more people! Omexom Rail Project is now looking for a Foreman for our Railway Operations in Arboga. We work with railway infrastructure with expertise in signaling, telecommunications, electricity, and overhead lines. In our workshop, we manufacture technical houses, kiosks, and cabinets for railways, trams, and subways with high quality and delivery security.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Foreman, you will have a key role in our railway projects where you lead and coordinate signaling technical work from planning to completed installation. You are responsible for creating structure, safety, and progress in production and act as the technical link between project managers, signaling technicians, subcontractors, etc.

The role includes among other things:

• Plan and lead signaling work in both new construction and reconstruction.
• Coordinate resources and ensure the right competence is in the right place.
• Conduct work preparation and safety reviews prior to production.
• Monitor schedule, quality, and economy within your area of responsibility.
• Support and develop signaling technicians in their daily work.
• Ensure documentation and deviation reporting according to current requirements.

This is a traveling position, and working hours are primarily during the day, but since the work is adapted to traffic closures, work in the evenings, nights, and weekends may occur. Furthermore, this is a permanent position, and you report to the Business Unit Manager.

YOUR PROFILE

You have several years of experience as a Signaling Technician and now want to take the next step into a leadership role, or you are currently a Foreman within railways and want to continue developing in the role. With a certified BSG1 training and a thorough understanding of signaling technical processes, safety requirements, and technical connections, you are confident in both technology and regulations.

As a person, you are proactive, structured, and stable even when the pace is high. You communicate clearly, build trust in the team, and enjoy working close to production where you can be present, solve problems, and drive the work forward. You have a natural focus on safety, a business-minded approach, and keep order, quality, and economy in focus.

It is an advantage if you have experience in leadership, SoS leadership, TSM permissions, BSG2, or advanced training such as SISÄ, and if you have worked with different types of interlocking systems or ERTMS. You have good computer skills, fluent Swedish and good English, and hold a B driving license.
