Physiotherapist at Jakobsberg Geriatrics

We are now looking for a colleague who wants to work with us during the summer of 2026 and from autumn onwards, substitute for a colleague on parental leave.

Jakobsberg Geriatrics has an acute geriatric mandate and receives elderly, frail, and multi-morbid patients from emergency hospitals, directly from home or by ambulance, as well as referrals from general practitioners. There are five care wards, two of which specialize in stroke and cognitive medicine, respectively. Here, you can broaden your knowledge in several medical areas together with knowledgeable and engaged colleagues.

Responsibilities

As a physiotherapist, you plan rehabilitation together with the patient, the team, and relatives. Your work includes assessments, training of physical functions, fitting, and prescribing of assistive devices.

Requirements

  • Licensed physiotherapist.

  • Previous work experience or internship within geriatric or somatic inpatient care.

The position will be filled subject to the condition that it does not need to be taken for internal transfer, according to current regulations.

For patient-facing work within the Stockholm County Council (SLSO):

  • A register check applies before a decision on employment according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for register checks upon employment.
  • Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment health examination, according to current directives, which takes place through occupational health services before employment.
  • Good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is required, in addition to a Swedish professional license. The same requirement is guiding for non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
