The Gynecology Section at Danderyd Hospital has a profile focusing on benign gynecological diseases. Treatment of patients with vulvar diseases or pelvic floor injuries has long been one of the unit's core competencies.
From October 1, 2022, the Women's Clinic has been commissioned with National Highly Specialized Care (NHV) regarding advanced reconstructive surgery for anal incontinence and ano- and rectovaginal fistulas after childbirth. In addition to this, we have a large operation within other minimally invasive surgery, including urogynecology.

Our Operations
The Pelvic Floor Centre at Danderyd Hospital Women's Clinic is one of two centres for National Highly Specialized Care regarding advanced reconstructive surgery for childbirth injuries affecting the lower abdomen and rectum. The Pelvic Floor Centre (PFC) is run in collaboration between the Women's Clinic and the Surgical Clinic and receives approximately 500 women annually, of whom more than half suffer from anal incontinence. Here, diagnostic methods are offered, followed by tailored, individualized treatment with conservative and surgical alternatives. At Danderyd Hospital, advanced reconstructions are performed to repair injuries to the rectal sphincter and fistulas between the bowel and vagina.
Over the nearly 20 years that our PFC has existed, we have gained extensive experience in the field and continuously developed new methods and working practices to provide the best possible care.
We also have a urogynecological clinic linked to our unit. Here, we care for women with urinary leakage, urinary urgency, voiding problems, and prolapse diseases. Our remit also includes patients with pain conditions (vulva, endometriosis, and childbirth injuries).
Job Description
Common tasks include investigating and treating patients at the Women's Clinic with childbirth injuries, bladder and bowel emptying difficulties, urinary and fecal incontinence, and chronic pelvic floor pain issues.
You will work together in an interdisciplinary team consisting of a urotherapist, midwife, physiotherapist, gynecologist, and surgeon.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are educated as a physiotherapist, nurse, or midwife with further education in bowel and urotherapy. We would like you to have a couple of years of experience in urotherapy and good knowledge of caring for patients with bowel problems. Education in acupuncture is an advantage.
Personal Attributes
We are looking for you who are flexible and independent in your work. Since we work in a team, it is important that you have good cooperation skills and are service-oriented. As we have the national mandate to care for women with severe childbirth injuries, we would like you to be innovative and have the ability to turn ideas into practice.
Other
Full-time/Part-time, permanent.
Start immediately or as agreed.
Application
Interviews are held continuously during the application period. Warmly welcome to submit your application today!
