The Child and Adolescent Centre in Västerbotten is a county clinic with approximately 400 employees, responsible for all specialist care for children and adolescents aged 0–18 in the county. We operate in Umeå, Skellefteå, and Lycksele.

We are now looking for a physiotherapist for our operations in Umeå for a temporary position with a possibility of extension.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a physiotherapist with us, you contribute to taking good care of others and helping people feel better. You work in both outpatient and inpatient care with children and adolescents aged 0–18. The work is largely planned, but there are also last-minute tasks that need to be handled, which may involve reprioritization. Together with occupational therapists and other physiotherapist colleagues, you have close dialogue regarding daily work, and the group is also a valuable support for each other.

Work on our wards includes, among other things, responsibility for mobilization, rehabilitation, training, and breathing gymnastics for children in need of physiotherapy, including before and after surgeries. You will also work with fitting walking aids and provide information to families and educational efforts for ward staff.

As a physiotherapist, tasks in outpatient care also occur. We work in teams to support children/adolescents and their families in cases of severe or long-term illnesses and conditions.

In your role, you are active in the clinic's development work and contribute to a holistic view that makes the care process better and safer. Collaboration with the family, school, preschool, and other healthcare providers is a natural part of the work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed physiotherapist. We would appreciate it if you have professional experience as a physiotherapist, and it is an advantage if you have experience working with children and adolescents.

You have a good ability to prioritize, see the value of good communication, are receptive, and enjoy sharing and receiving new knowledge and experiences. Your attitude contributes to a good work climate where we all collaborate to achieve the best care quality for our patients. In the role, it is important to be able to handle reprioritizations, contribute to finding solutions, and be flexible in your working methods.

Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer.
Working hours: Daytime.
