The Role

As a Project Manager within Operational Development, you will play a key role in driving improvements in the development of the product and aftermarket portfolio (DVP). You will identify opportunities for efficiency gains, such as through value stream mapping, and ensure that these are implemented to create real value within the organization.

The role involves close collaboration with various functions, process owners, and steering groups, where you will both lead projects and coach the organization in new ways of working.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead operational development projects and drive change initiatives within DVP
• Identify areas for improvement and efficiency opportunities
• Develop, improve, and implement processes, working methods, and tools
• Be responsible for and develop the DVP Project Handbook and associated system support
• Support projects in initiation and structuring according to defined working methods
• Educate and coach the organization in management systems and processes
• Collaborate with Volvo Group business areas regarding project management and governance
• Report status and results to relevant steering groups

What We Are Looking For

• Relevant higher education or university degree in engineering, industrial economics, project management, or equivalent
• At least 2 years of experience in project management, preferably within product or business development
• Good holistic understanding of businesses, organizations, and processes
• Documented experience in leading projects and delivering results
• Experience in change management and implementation of improvement initiatives
• Strong communication skills and experience working cross-functionally
• Ability to lead, engage, and influence others within an organization
• Experience in process development and work with management systems
• Ability to structure, document, and clarify working methods and processes
• Experience in educating, coaching, and supporting employees in working methods and tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of the DVP process and product development projects
