We are looking for a pediatric nurse to join our welcoming clinic in Farsta Centrum.

The Farsta clinic is part of Sachsska Children's Hospital, Södersjukhuset. As part of Södersjukhuset, we prioritize children with more extensive care needs or those requiring the hospital's resources, but who can be treated outside the hospital setting. In your role as a pediatric nurse with us, you will utilize your ability to see the big picture and your full general pediatric competence.

We are a specialist care clinic with daytime operations from 08:00 to 16:30. The clinic is staffed by pediatric nurses, pediatricians, medical secretaries, and nursing assistants. Our team also includes students and specialty trainee doctors (ST-läkare).

Job Responsibilities

At our clinic, we investigate and treat children aged 0–17 with various general pediatric conditions, such as stomach aches, headaches, growth deviations, and other developmental disorders. We place particular emphasis on children with complex medical profiles involving multiple conditions, as well as those requiring the hospital's resources. We also receive children who need continued follow-up after previous hospital care. Within our specialty area, we have a significant number of asthma and allergy patients. As part of our allergy services, we conduct food and medication provocation tests, offer specific immunotherapy, and perform lung function tests using spirometry and IOS. We also collaborate in a team with a physiotherapist from rehabilitation when performing exercise spirometry.

Responsibilities for the specialist nurse position include, among other things, independent clinic work, patient-facing work in connection with doctor visits, telephone advice, administrative tasks, and supervision of nursing students and nurses undergoing specialist training.

In the treatment and investigation of some of our more complex medical issues, we collaborate with the hospital and its competencies. We also participate in the hospital's continuing education and competence development, and collaborate with Sachsska's two other outpatient clinics located in Nacka and Handen.

Qualifications and Personal Attributes

We are looking for a pediatric nurse, preferably with subspecialization in asthma and allergy diseases. You have a strong commitment to the health of children and adolescents. Experience in clinic work is an advantage. As a person, you have good collaboration skills and a flexible approach. You enjoy working in a team while also being able to work independently. You are curious, unpretentious, positive, and receptive. You appreciate the opportunity to influence and develop, with the best interests of the children in focus. Personal suitability is highly valued.
