About the Operations

The Care Administration in Trollhättan consists of approximately 2,200 employees who make a difference every day for the elderly and people with disabilities. Together, we are shaping the future of care and support with a focus on security and quality.

We are now looking for a Care Assistant for our Specialized Housing for the Elderly (SÄBO) Hagtornsstigen in the district of Stavre. Here, people with dementia and cognitive impairment live in a safe and inviting environment with a nice inner courtyard, close to green areas and walking paths. The facility consists of five wards with a total of 45 residents and offers large spaces for activities, socializing, and meaningful encounters.

As a Care Assistant with us, you play an important role in creating security, participation, and quality of life for our residents. Through a person-centered approach, you see the individual behind the need and contribute with care, respect, and engagement in every meeting.

Job Responsibilities

As a Care Assistant, you work based on the national value base for elderly care and contribute to providing person-centered, health-promoting, and safe basic care, as well as practical support based on the resident's individual needs. You work based on implementation plans, delegated health and medical care tasks, and perform documentation according to current legislation and routines. The work takes place in close interaction with other professions, as well as relatives, where collaboration is an important part of the assignment. In the long term, you may also hold specific responsibility roles and ombudsman roles.

Working hours are scheduled for day/evening weekdays and weekends.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a high school diploma from the Care and Nursing program or other education that the employer considers equivalent. If you have previously worked as a Care Assistant and within dementia care, this is considered an advantage. It is also positive if you have experience with Senior Alert and/or BPSD.

Since the work involves many contacts with colleagues, residents, and relatives, as well as regulated requirements for documentation, good knowledge of Swedish is required, both in speech and in writing.

We are looking for you who are secure, responsible, and engaged in your professional role. You have a good manner of dealing with people and an empathetic ability that allows you to meet each resident's individual needs with respect and care. You work independently, take initiative, and at the same time have a flexible attitude where you see the overall picture and needs of the operations. As a person, you contribute with a positive attitude and professional collaboration that strengthens both the work group and the quality of care. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
