Specialty Trainee Doctor (ST) at Essinge Health Centre
We are looking for you who are a licensed physician and have worked for a few years as a licensed doctor at a health centre, and now wish to specialize in general practice. You are offered excellent opportunities for professional development in a collegial and learning-oriented environment. The ambition is to transition into ST in General Practice if interest and prerequisites are met.
Essinge Health Centre is operated within SLSO (Stockholm County Council's Healthcare Services). Currently, we have approximately 7,200 registered patients, most of whom live on one of the Essinge islands. We are located on the island of Lilla Essingen, close to central Stockholm. The health centre is situated by the water, with restaurants, bathing jetties, and walking paths nearby. It is easy to reach us by bus, bicycle, car, or boat.
We offer a district nurse clinic, home care services, telephone advice, a diabetes clinic, a psychologist's clinic, and a child health centre. We also have a fully equipped near-laboratory.
About the position:
Your duties consist of standard outpatient work at the health centre as a licensed physician, where you see patients of all ages in both emergency and scheduled appointments, both digitally and in person. You will have support and supervision from colleagues and experienced staff.
About you:
We are looking for someone with a Swedish medical license. Interest in and experience of primary care and emergency medicine is meritorious. Swedish language skills corresponding to level C1 are a requirement within Region Stockholm.
You have excellent teamwork skills, a strong commitment, and are meticulous. You also have the ability to adapt to different situations and maintain a positive attitude.

Employment type:
Permanent position, full-time. Start date by agreement. Probationary period may apply.

In patient-facing roles within Stockholm County Council's Healthcare Services (SLSO):
- A register check is applied before a decision on employment according to SLSO's overarching guidelines.
- Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment health examination through occupational healthcare services before employment.
- In addition to a Swedish professional license, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is required. The same requirements are guiding for non-licensed staff with patient contact.
