Team Leader for Groundskeeping and Services – Stockholm City Cemetery Administration

Stockholm City Cemetery Administration is seeking a Team Leader for the groundskeeping and service operations at the Skogskyrkogården unit.

The Skogskyrkogården unit comprises approximately 20 permanent employees and around 50 seasonal employees hired between April and November. During the summer period, Skogskyrkogården also supervises approximately 30 holiday youth workers.

Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities as a Team Leader include leading, planning, and participating in the unit's groundskeeping activities, as well as handling the associated administration.

The role also involves meetings and collaboration with contractors on various infrastructure projects. Close cooperation is expected with other team leaders within the administration and department.

You will be involved in improvement work, working environment, and safety, as well as working to streamline operations. You will have delegated working environment responsibilities within your assigned area.

During winter, scheduled on-call duty for snow and ice control during weekends and holidays may occur.

The position is operational, and you are expected to participate in practical work on the cemeteries to the extent possible.

Competencies and Experience

We are looking for someone educated in horticulture or equivalent, with at least two years of documented experience in team leadership involving groundskeeping/services.

We expect you to have good computer skills and be able to work comfortably with the Office package and other IT systems. Good oral and written Swedish skills are also required.

A valid Category B driver's license is mandatory.

Experience from other cemeteries and having worked in Aveny is considered an asset.

As a person, you are structured and self-initiating. You have the ability to contribute ideas and solutions when others see problems. You are flexible and have strong collaboration skills. As a leader, you are engaged and can leverage the professional experience of the cemetery administration's staff to motivate them to achieve our common goals.

Other Information

We recruit without cover letters to strengthen the focus on the competencies and experiences required for this role. In assessing your application, we will only consider your CV and a number of questions you will answer when applying for the position.

We request that you answer the questions concretely and concisely, with a clear link between your answers and your CV.
