We are looking for a Team Leader for Malmö City and the Employment Services Department's own work team within the café and laundry operations.

Here you will have a varied job where you combine practical team leadership with mentoring and developing people. The position is shared between two work teams – a laundry and a café – where the work in the café is shared with another team leader.

Responsibilities

As a Team Leader, you are responsible for creating a well-functioning and developmental workplace together with the participants. The target group consists of unemployed residents of Malmö who, through internships or employment initiatives, are given the opportunity to strengthen their professional and social competencies to eventually move on to work or studies.

In this role, you will among other things:

• Introduce and instruct participants in tasks and activities within the café and laundry operations
• Plan, lead, and distribute daily work
• Work with a language-development perspective in the operations
• Follow up on participants' plans together with employment secretaries
• Be responsible for routines, safety, and working environment at the workplace
• Collaborate with other work teams and functions within the operations
• Continuously develop and adapt work arrangements based on the target group's needs
• Contribute to development work as the operations undergo change

Qualifications

To be considered for the position, you should have:

• Completed upper secondary education
• Experience working in kitchen/conference operations
• Experience working in a leadership role
• Good knowledge of systematic work environment management
• Experience working with and guiding people who are far from the labor market for various reasons
• Experience working with people with low proficiency in Swedish
• Valid driver's license (Category B)

It is meritorious if you have:

• Education in behavioral science or social pedagogy
• Experience working in a laundry

The Employment Services Department is a key actor on Malmö's labor market. The department helps strengthen the opportunities for unemployed Malmö residents to find work and contributes to them becoming self-sufficient, either on their own or with the help of other actors.
