Job Responsibilities

As an assistant nurse with us, you play a central role in creating security, quality of life, and meaningful days for the residents. The work is varied and always based on each individual's needs, wishes, and resources. Your main tasks include, among other things:

• providing personal care and support in daily life, such as hygiene, meals, activities, and social interaction
• working based on implementation plans and contributing to the development of individualized support
• noticing changes in the resident's health condition and acting accordingly
• documenting according to current legislation and ensuring good quality of care as well as continuity for the resident
• contributing to creating a safe, warm, and respectful environment where every individual is seen and heard

We actively work with a person-centered approach, where every resident's life story, needs, and wishes are given space. This means that we not only provide care – we build relationships and create content in everyday life together with the residents. The user's influence is a natural part of this. This means that as an assistant nurse, you have an important task in enabling participation and contributing to ensuring that every individual can live their life as independently and meaningfully as possible.

You work in a team together with colleagues, nurses, paramedics, and group managers, where collaboration and open dialogue are a natural part of everyday life. Together, you take responsibility for developing working methods and operations with the resident's best interests in focus.

In the work, we use the scheduling tool TimeCare for planning.

About the Workplace

The main task of the Social Services is to offer individualized support and services within elderly care, disability services, children and family, adults, and financial assistance. We are present for the municipality's residents through all stages of life.

Within elderly care, there are four special housing facilities, home care including the safety patrol, day activities, short-term and respite care, meeting points, and municipal primary care. Rosengården is a special housing facility with 111 apartments distributed among dementia places, somatic places, as well as short-term and respite care. Here we work in close teams with the resident at the center and with a shared responsibility to create a safe, pleasant, and meaningful everyday life.

What We Are Looking For in You

To succeed in the role, you have:

• assistant nurse education with a protected professional title
• basic computer skills
• good knowledge of documentation
• Swedish language skills corresponding to level B2 in speech and writing.

It is meritorious if you have:

• experience working in elderly care
• experience with digital working methods and welfare technology
• interest in digitalization and development within care and social services.

Personal qualities we are looking for

As a person, you are genuinely service-oriented, have a good manner, are curious and receptive, and are keen on creating security for the residents. You can put yourself in others' perspectives without taking over their feelings.

In your role as an assistant nurse with us, it is important to act prudently with good judgment in both meetings with residents, relatives, and others. You are used to taking initiative, can adapt quickly to different situations and people both in communication and behavior. You can work independently but are also a team player and collaborate easily with others and ensure good quality in the work.
