About the Role

As a sprinkler technician/plant operator at Pema, you will start from home with your own service vehicle. Your daily routine is filled with variety, and no two days are alike. You work in environments such as schools, preschools, and nursing homes, where you, together with your team, are responsible for fire and sprinkler systems.

You work with a high degree of autonomy and plan your time efficiently, often needing to reprioritize your daily tasks on the fly. Within the fire team, we support each other, and you will find a family-like atmosphere with a relaxed vibe and a sense of humor.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of valves, pressure, water supply, alarm functions, and pumps.
• Ensure system operation and that sprinkler heads are not blocked.
• Document all inspections carefully in the operation and control journal directly on-site.
• Perform self-inspections (weekly to semi-annually) and ensure annual service and inspection are carried out.
• Act as the contact person during alarms and operational disruptions.
• Collaborate with service companies, rescue services, and the customer's fire safety officer.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who loves action and can reprioritize when conditions change. You are meticulous and take pride in leaving nothing to chance; safety always comes first. You are a person who likes structure but thrives best in a fast-paced daily routine.

We expect you to have:

• Experience: At least 5 years of practical experience in sprinkler systems.
• Education: Documented training as a sprinkler plant operator (according to the Swedish Fire Protection Association's guidelines).
• Competence: Good understanding of building fire protection, the function of sprinkler systems, and relevant regulations such as SBF 120:8.
• Driver's License: Category B driver's license is required to start from home with the service vehicle.
• Personality: You are loyal, social, and have a natural respect for everyone you meet in your daily work. You are meticulous and structured in your tasks.

Meritorious: Background as a plumber/HVAC technician or experience in systematic fire protection work (SBA) and fire alarms is considered a significant plus.
