The Assignment

As Head of Business Operations within Decentral Energy Solutions, you are responsible for creating value for our customers by offering solar energy and energy storage solutions, with a special focus on homeowners and consumers. The unit's mission is to deliver clean, renewable energy as well as related optimization services and flexibility, thereby supporting Vattenfall's goal of a fossil-free life.

As Head of Business Operations, you have a clear commercial and operational leadership responsibility. You lead and develop a unit of approximately eight people with full responsibility for:

  • sales results
  • delivery capability
  • customer experience and support

The role requires you to prioritize daily between operational business decisions and tactical/strategic choices, with a particular focus on sales, profitability, and scalability. You are part of the DES management group and are expected to actively contribute to the business's direction, priorities, and execution.

Your Responsibilities in Practice

You will, among other things:

  • Own and deliver sales results, including revenue, volume, and profitability targets
  • Develop, lead, and monitor sales efforts through clear KPIs, priorities, and requirements
  • Actively decide what should be scaled – and what should not be done
  • Ensure efficient, secure, and customer-focused deliveries in collaboration with other parts of the organization
  • Develop the support and operations function with a focus on stability, quality, and customer satisfaction
  • Lead the organization at a high tempo with clear direction, structure, and accountability
  • Be responsible for budget, forecasts, and cost control
  • Identify needs for decision support, process improvements, and system development that directly strengthen the business's impact

Requirements

Who we are looking for – below are requirements, not wishes

To succeed in the role, we see that you have:

  • Several years of documented commercial experience, primarily from the consumer market (B2C)
  • Clear P&L responsibility (or equivalent) and experience working towards concrete sales goals
  • Experience leading sales organizations with a focus on tempo, conversion, and margin
  • At least 2–3 years of experience as a manager with personnel responsibility
  • Experience making business-critical decisions in complex environments with multiple stakeholders
  • An academic degree (fields such as Master/Civil Engineer or Economics are advantageous)

Background in energy, technical consumer products, construction/contracting, or similar is advantageous – but commercial delivery capability weighs heavier than industry-specific experience.

Fluent Swedish and English are required.
