Do you want to build advanced software used in healthcare – together with a small, high-level technical team?

At Distributed Medical, you develop systems for medical image and video management used by hospitals and clinics throughout Scandinavia. We are now looking for an experienced and technically strong Windows Developer who wants to work long-term on product development in an environment where technology, quality, and product ownership are at the center.

Your Role

At Distributed Medical, you will become part of an experienced development team where several members have worked together for a long time. There is a strong interest in technology, high competence, and good collaboration among the developers.

You will work on developing software solutions within medical image and video management. The environment is technically broad, covering everything from frontend and backend to integrations, client/server solutions, and advanced handling of video, images, and streaming in healthcare environments. Development primarily takes place in a modern Windows and .NET environment, where quality, testability, and long-term maintenance are important and natural parts of the development process. The role is also shaped partly by your competence and strengths. You might be particularly strong in backend and architecture, or very skilled in frontend and user interfaces.

You will work on tasks such as:

• Modern Windows development in C#/.NET with a focus on quality and long-term sustainability
• Product development in a technically complex software environment
• Development of client, server, or integration solutions within medical image management
• Features related to video, images, streaming, and workflows in healthcare

Who You Are

We believe you are driven by technology and product-based software development. You have many years of experience in professional system and product development in the Windows stack. You thrive in workplaces where development is seen as a craft and where technical quality actually matters.

You have a genuine interest in technology and are driven by understanding complex systems and technical problems deeply.

You have a strong foundation in object-oriented development and modern development methods, and feel comfortable working in large codebases and complex system solutions. You may have a background in desktop development, backend, frontend, or product development, but what you have in common is that you are highly skilled in your area.

It is an advantage if you have experience with, for example, WinUI3 or WPF, modern web technologies like React or Angular, video and image handling, GPU-related development, or integration standards such as DICOM and HL7. Experience from product companies or MedTech environments is also a big plus.
