About the position

As a nurse, you will lead the nursing work within the team and be responsible for the assessment, planning, and implementation of care interventions for the patient. Here we work together, support each other, and strive to provide the best possible care to every patient. We would be happy if you want to engage in improvement groups and contribute ideas and thoughts to develop the operations. Working hours include day and evening shifts as well as work every other weekend. The working hours are as follows:

• Day shift: 07:00-15:30
• Evening shift: 13:30-21:30.

The position is a permanent full-time position, but part-time can be discussed if desired.

Your responsibilities include among other things:

• Standard nursing tasks.
• Assessments.
• Planning for patient care.

About you

For this position, you need:

• To be a licensed nurse.
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is meritorious if you also have:

• Previous work experience from healthcare, for example as an assistant nurse.
• Experience from emergency care.

About us

At the Surgical Department of Norrtälje Hospital, both emergency and elective surgery within gynecology, gastrointestinal, and urology are performed. This contributes to you gaining broad competence in several different surgical specialties. The care on the ward is characterized by short care periods, and with us, we work in teams consisting of nurses, assistant nurses, a coordinating assistant nurse, rehab, and doctors.

We are a cheerful group of about seventy people with a large mix of backgrounds and experiences; here, things are always moving forward! At our place, there is a family atmosphere where we are close to laughter and really enjoy being together. On Fridays, we gather for a common breakfast, for example, a great opportunity to build community.
