Do you want to cook food that makes a difference – for real? Do you enjoy working in an operation where proximity, service, and quality are in focus? Then the role as a cook at Gomorronsol might be for you.

Gomorronsol is a preschool with six departments that is currently undergoing extensive renovation. Phase 1 is expected to be completed in autumn 2027, and a completely new preschool is emerging with a new kitchen and two dining halls where our children will be served breakfast, lunch, and snacks. Adjacent to the operation, an OB (out-of-hours) activity center is also being built, which the kitchen will support.

Here you will work in an operation where food and the meal environment are an important part of the children's daily lives. Currently, we are two full-time cooks who together are responsible for the daily meal production. You will become part of a work group where collaboration, engagement, and joy in work are important parts of the daily routine.

YOUR ROLE
As a cook with us, you are responsible for planning, preparing, and serving high-quality food. You work with both hot and cold dishes and are involved in developing the meals together with colleagues and diners. The role also includes planning, purchasing, self-control, hygiene routines, and handling large kitchen equipment. You are also responsible for service tasks related to the nearby preschool. The work is varied and involves close collaboration with both colleagues and operations. The goal is always the same – to cook delicious and nutritious food that the children enjoy and benefit from.

YOUR COMPETENCE AND EXPERIENCE
We are looking for you who have a restaurant education at the upper secondary level or equivalent, or alternatively documented experience as a cook in a restaurant or large kitchen. You have knowledge of hot and cold kitchens, special diets, self-control, and work in large kitchens. You have experience in planning and purchasing, which is an important part of the job. You thrive working with others and value good relationships. Service is a natural part of your working style, and you maintain your composure even in more intensive situations. You are flexible and adapt quickly when conditions change. You have good knowledge of Swedish to work safely in the kitchen environment.

YOUR NEW WORKPLACE
As a cook at Gomorronsol, you are an important part of the children's daily lives and contribute to a secure and pleasant meal environment. You become part of Skellefteå Municipality's meal department, where we together serve approximately 17,000 portions every day. Here, we work with a common goal: to create meal experiences with the diner in focus.
