We are looking for passionate chefs to join Umeå's oldest and most beloved Indian restaurant – where tradition meets flavor, and guests return year after year.
We operate Umeå's oldest Indian restaurant, opened in 1998, a well-known and appreciated meeting place where guests can enjoy authentic Indian flavors, prepared with passion and tradition.
We are now looking for a full-time chef who wants to become part of our team. You should have a genuine interest in Indian cuisine and preferably experience with à la carte cooking. As a person, you are positive, cooperative, and stress-resistant, and thrive working both independently and collaboratively with colleagues.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation and cooking of classic Indian dishes.
- Handling and control of ingredients.
- Ability to order ingredients and plan purchases.
- Understanding of various spices, flavors, and cooking methods within Indian cuisine.
- Maintaining a clean, organized kitchen and following hygiene routines.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Proficiency in English is required. Knowledge of Bengali, Hindi, or Swedish is considered an asset.
