About the position

As a nursing assistant with us, you play a central role in planning and carrying out the daily care of our patients. Together with your team, consisting of nursing assistants, nurses, a coordinating nursing assistant, rehabilitation staff, and doctors, you will work with a range of important tasks. The duties include, among other things, care, wound dressing changes, sample collection, monitoring vital signs, handling various drains, catheters, and stomas, as well as documentation.

The position is full-time. Working hours include mornings, days, and evenings, as well as every other weekend.

About you

For this position, you need:

• To be a trained nursing assistant with a certificate of protected professional title.
• Good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing.

It is meritorious if you also have:

• Experience in emergency care with a focus on surgery.

You have a high degree of personal maturity and are confident in your professional role. Your flexibility allows you to easily adapt to different situations and needs, while always maintaining a structured approach to work. You are empathetic and show respect and understanding for both colleagues and patients, which contributes to a positive work climate. Your good teamwork skills and commitment mean that you actively contribute to the ward's successes and good results.

Our surgical ward at Norrtälje Hospital is characterized by short care periods. We perform both emergency and elective surgery within gynecology, gastrointestinal, and urology.
