About Husbygårdsskolan

Husbygårdsskolan is located in central Husby in northern Stockholm. The school consists of two adjacent school buildings, where grades F-3 are in one and grades 4-9 are in the other. As part of the operations, there is also a central teaching group with approximately 22 students. The school has hundreds of employees who meet the school's approximately 525 students daily. The school has an established development organization where the school leadership and lead teachers work closely to strengthen the quality of teaching. The staff is proud of their engaged students and works based on the motto: "It is important to me that you are doing well." Many cultures meet at the school, and we learn from and with each other. We strive for a learning environment that meets every child's needs.

Your responsibilities

• As a school nurse, you are employed directly under the principal, who is responsible for student health work.
• Perform the school health service's medical interventions in the school according to current legislation, the city's Program for Student Health Work, which includes the Management System for Student Health Medical Interventions and central School Health's regulations and guidelines.
• In collaboration with the school leadership and other student health personnel, based on your medical competence, create the best possible conditions for students' learning, development, and health.
• Together with the school doctor and in consultation with the school leadership, be responsible for the organization of the school health service's medical interventions in the school.
• The work involves collaboration with students, parents, school staff, as well as organizations and authorities outside the school.
• Stockholm City's school nurses have been recording patient records in the journal system Prorenata since March 2022.

Your competence and experience

To be employed as a school nurse in Stockholm City, the applicant must, in addition to nursing education, hold one of these specialist educations:

• Specialist Nurse Program – District Nurse 75 hp
• Specialist Nurse Program – Child and Adolescent 60 hp
• Specialist Nurse Program – School Nurse 60 hp

Previous experience of working in a school.

Public health competence.

Knowledge and experience of working with electronic patient records, PMO, or ProRenata.

You are accustomed to planning and structuring your work independently.

Good knowledge of risk and health-promoting factors for children's and young people's learning and development, and experience of working in a health-promoting and preventive manner.

You have a good ability to make medical knowledge accessible to other professional categories.

Multilingualism is an advantage.
