Job Responsibilities

Under the supervision of a Prison and Probation Inspector, you, as a Client Case Worker, will be responsible for the overall client work. This involves quality-assuring the work with clients' enforcement planning, as well as preparing and making decisions according to the Penal Code and Administrative Laws in accordance with delegation. Your duties include making assessments based on current regulations, guidelines, and practice, preparing decision materials for the Prison and Probation Inspector, and continuously mentoring and training staff in the client process. The role also includes participation in collegiums and collaboration with probation services and other relevant authorities.

As a person, you are secure, stable, and distinguish between the personal and professional. You are flexible and adapt easily to current circumstances and are sensitive to the needs of the operations.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A university or college education with a legal, pedagogical, or behavioral science focus, or other education/experience that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service deems equivalent.
  • Knowledge and experience of leading others in work tasks.
  • Very good written and oral expression skills in Swedish.

It is meritorious if you have:

  • The Swedish Prison and Probation Service's basic training.
  • Leadership training.
  • Experience working as a Client Case Worker within the Swedish Prison and Probation Service.
  • Experience in social work or work within another authority in the justice chain.
  • Knowledge and experience of case processing within current legislation.
  • Good knowledge of administrative law.
