The Technical Department in Borgholm Municipality covers streets and parks, harbors, local maintenance, catering and property, as well as swimming and leisure facilities. We conduct ongoing interviews. Right now, we are looking for you who want to work as a lifeguard/swimming attendant at Borgholm Swimming Hall and/or Åkerbo Swimming Pool.
5 positions available.
Job Responsibilities
The duties include common tasks in a swimming and training facility such as pool supervision, swimming instruction, cash register/reception work, and local maintenance.
You are responsible, together with your colleagues, for the customers' safety and well-being. We apply rotating shifts, which means that all tasks are part of your responsibility. Working hours are scheduled for daytime, evenings, and weekends.
Qualifications
- You are at least 18 years old and have a high school education.
- You should have basic computer skills, master the Swedish language, and have the ability to adapt communication to the person and situation.
- Swimming proficiency is a requirement. We conduct tests in swimming and lifesaving, which include swimming 200 meters (of which 50 meters backstroke), after which you must be able to tow a dummy or person 25 meters in the water.
To be considered for the position, you must pass these tests. It is an advantage if you are trained as a swimming teacher/instructor.
Other skills that may be meritorious:
- Other language skills.
- Current CPR training.
- Experience leading baby swimming, water aerobics, and/or other group training.
- Experience cleaning and maintaining cleanliness in a swimming hall environment.
- Experience working with children and young people.
- Being or having been active in a sports club.

- Salary: Hourly wage
