About the position

At Infectious Disease Ward 4, the work and pace are varied as we care for patients with complicated infectious diseases such as sepsis, severe respiratory infections, and infections of the central nervous system, skeleton, skin, and soft tissues. We have a strong sense of cohesion on the ward and place great emphasis on a good work environment and high patient safety. We help and support each other and aim to provide the best care for our patients. Operational development is an important part of our short-term and long-term strategic work, and we actively work on competence development and nursing development.

The role of Specialist Nurse with a clinical development mandate includes, among other things:

  • Patient-oriented nursing work where you, with your advanced nursing competence, are closest to the patient
  • Close collaboration with colleagues from different professions to ensure person-centered and safe care for our patients
  • Active work to improve nursing quality and patient safety
  • Driving knowledge development within the operation together with other specialist nurses, Nursing Leaders, and OVC
  • Developing and implementing new routines and working methods
  • Actively following current research and development within the professions of nursing and infectious disease care
  • Involvement in the introduction of new colleagues and supervision of nursing and specialist nursing students in connection with VIL/VFU

As a Specialist Nurse with a clinical development mandate, you work according to Region Stockholm's working time model, and the position involves weekend duties.

  • Have a good understanding of how humans acquire knowledge and people's different prerequisites
  • Are passionate about raising nursing quality and keep yourself updated and open to new knowledge

  • See the big picture, consider the broader perspective, and look to the best interests of the entire operation in actions and decisions

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse
  • Completed degree from the Specialist Nurse Program in Infectious Disease Care (60 ECTS)

Merits:

  • Experience in leading own projects or development work
  • Previous experience in infectious disease care
