Our Employment Offer

Department 92 is part of the Specialist Medicine clinic. Our specialist competence is directed towards patients with gastrointestinal and liver diseases, although we also occasionally care for other internal medicine patients. Patients primarily arrive at our department via the emergency room or our Gastro Clinic. Our work group consists of specialist-trained doctors, nurses, and assistant nurses. We also receive daily support from dietitians and physiotherapists. From Monday to Friday, we have a coordinator for incoming calls on-site and a care coordinator who assists us with the social planning for patients when needed.

Job Description

Your role as an assistant nurse is extremely significant. You are responsible for the basic care of patients and actively participate with your knowledge in dialogue with the rest of the team. Two to three nurses and three assistant nurses are jointly responsible for 12 patients. The work includes medical-technical tasks such as blood sampling, catheterization (KAD), NEWS scoring, wound dressing changes, and ECGs, etc. The work as an assistant nurse with us is interesting and rewarding, with great opportunities for professional development. Qualifications

Trained assistant nurse through the upper secondary school's Care and Nursing Program (three years, 2500 credits), the Care and Nursing Program at Komvux (three terms, minimum 1350 credits), or equivalent assistant nurse education. You need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare, or alternatively fall under transitional provisions for assistant nurses, to be employed with the title of assistant nurse. Otherwise, you may be employed in the occupational category of healthcare assistant.

We are looking for you who have experience from emergency care. You enjoy developing yourself and have a talent for building good relationships with patients, relatives, and colleagues. You take initiative, are meticulous and positive, enjoy driving responsibility areas, and supervising students.
