Tegnérs Bakery is looking for a leader for the service area in Ekerö
Tegnérs Bakery Ekerö opened in 2022 and has quickly become a popular spot for bread, pastries, and a coffee in the sun by the water. We are now looking for a Café Manager who wants to take responsibility for the café and shop sections, drive sales, lead the team in daily operations, and further develop the business.
We also operate a unit in Tullinge, where Tegnérs Bakery started in 2019. Both units are built on the same foundation: craftsmanship, quality, and a clear ambition to give the guest an experience that feels thoughtful, personal, and professional.
About the role
As Café Manager, you are responsible for the operations of the shop and service area at the unit. You lead the team, handle staffing and scheduling, ensure the guest receives excellent hospitality – and that the environment, flow, and sales function smoothly.
You work closely with our production team and our Operations Manager, who leads the overall business. You are part of a small management team where you have full authority to take responsibility and are expected to take initiative, solve problems, and drive improvements in daily operations.
This is an operational management role where you are on-site, lead with clarity, and build a strong team around you.
Your responsibilities
- Lead daily operations in the shop and service area
- Scheduling, staffing, onboarding, and workforce leadership
- Ensure service, quality, order, and working environment
- Monitor sales, average transaction value, and waste
- Responsible for cash handling, basic administration, and routines
- Collaborate with production regarding product flow, campaigns, and presentation
- Responsible for the food offering in the café – including assortment, layout, presentation, and daily flow
- Drive sales through hospitality, environment, and the right pace in daily operations
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience in a leadership role within a café, bakery, or restaurant
- Is confident in taking responsibility and good at organizing
- Has experience with operations, staffing, and team leadership
- Has a good grasp of flow, sales, and guest experience
- Speaks and writes Swedish fluently
- Has basic knowledge of hygiene routines (HACCP)
It is a plus if you:
- Have worked with artisan bakeries or cafés with food offerings
- Have an eye for improvement – you like to make things a bit smarter every week
