About Samhall

Samhall exists to create a more inclusive labor market where everyone is seen as an asset. Our mission is to create meaningful jobs for people with disabilities. Every year, approximately 2,000 individuals are referred to us by the Swedish Public Employment Service (Arbetsförmedlingen), and what we do is offer them a stable platform to stand on and the opportunity to train their skills and develop their competence. Our most important goal is that 1,500 people leave us each year for employment outside of Samhall.

No matter where you work within our organization, our mission and goals are ever-present. The conviction that all people have competence is a compass and a driving force for all of us. We believe that you, reading this, feel just as strongly about it as we do.

We are 24,000 employees, including approximately 1,500 managers and specialists, with operations throughout the country. Together, we work for a more inclusive labor market that benefits individuals, organizations, and society at large.

Welcome to Samhall!

About the Role

The role of Group Manager Rehabilitation is an established and important position within Samhall. It is a first-line management role, meaning you have personnel responsibility for employees in complex rehabilitation cases to ensure they receive the support they need to return to work in a sustainable way. The path for your employees is often long, but the goal is for them to develop vocational knowledge and work capacity. At Samhall, there is a major ongoing effort to work preventively, with a focus on what we call "pre-habilitation." Here you will also find an important forum of skilled colleagues to collaborate with regarding workplace adjustments and assistive devices. You follow and coach the area managers in Samhall's sick leave and rehabilitation processes.

In this role, you create and maintain networks and relationships. In addition to close leadership of your employees, you collaborate daily with your internal colleagues such as area managers, HR, and other support functions. You also have external contacts with case handlers at the Swedish Social Insurance Agency (Försäkringskassan).

What We Offer You

As a Group Manager Rehabilitation, you begin your learning journey in our own Samhall School when you start with us, and you are offered one of Sweden's best leadership training programs. Here you develop as a leader regardless of previous experience and build specific knowledge about leading people with disabilities. In this context, you also get to know colleagues across the country, build networks, and exchange experiences.

What You Bring

As a leader, you build relationships to create trust and a good collaborative climate. You communicate clearly and can adapt your communication style to the needs of different individuals. You see that you learn something new from the people you lead and receive confirmation by seeing your employees develop.

Given this role's focus on rehabilitation, we will also ask you to what extent you have worked with this. We are curious about your examples of more complex cases you have handled, as this is a large part of the daily work.

To succeed and thrive in the role, we believe you have:

  • Good documented experience of working with rehabilitation and workplace adjustments
  • Leadership experience with personnel responsibility
  • Experience of operational work with personnel development
  • Previous work/collaboration with the Swedish Social Insurance Agency and the Swedish Public Employment Service
  • Valid driver's license (Category B)
