Do you, like us, have a passion for helping children and young people? Come and become part of our wonderful team! BUP Acute and Inpatient Care St Göran is now looking for a permanent nurse for day and evening shifts.
BUP's inpatient care consists of three wards and an emergency unit. The units offer care to children and young people up to 17 years old with complex psychiatric conditions requiring short-term intensive care. Care is provided in accordance with HSL and LPT and is characterized by a holistic view where both psychiatric, psychological, and social factors are significant for diagnosis and treatment.
We now want to expand our stable and competent staff group and are looking for nurses who can contribute to providing our patients with the best possible care. The inpatient unit at St Göran is a well-functioning ward where both patients and staff thrive. We work together for the benefit of our patients and to jointly create a pleasant and positive workplace. The unit has access to school, gym, 4H farm excursions, and horse therapy, among other things.
Job Description
As a nurse, you are responsible for the psychiatric and somatic care of the patients, lead and distribute the work, and are responsible for care documentation and reporting. Psychiatry is continuously developing, and BUP constantly strives for modern and innovative ways of working; therefore, participation in the ward's quality and development work is a given for our employees. There are also good development opportunities for you as a nurse for further education.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. Experience from psychiatric care and specialist training in psychiatry are meritorious.
Personal Qualities
You should have a genuine interest and commitment to the ward's target group, and you can remain calm in emotionally demanding situations. You have a non-judgmental approach and share the assumption that all behaviors are functional, that all people do their best, and that everyone needs to exert more effort simultaneously. You are problem-solving focused, have good social competence, and good pedagogical skills. You collaborate easily, are flexible, have the courage to approach people, and the ability to observe your personal boundaries.

Employment Type
The position is a permanent, full-time (38:15) employment with scheduled working hours during the day and evening, three weekends out of five. Start date as soon as possible, by agreement.

About Us
BUP Inpatient Care is part of BUP Stockholm. BUP Stockholm offers specialized psychiatric care for children and young people aged 0 to 17 in Stockholm County. We are part of the Stockholm County Healthcare Services (SLSO), which is a healthcare provider within Region Stockholm. Together, we are approximately 1,200 employees who meet over 22,000 children, young people, and their families every year.
The position is filled subject to the condition that it does not need to be taken for internal relocation, according to current regulations.
In patient-facing work within Stockholm County Healthcare Services:
- A register check is applied before the decision on employment according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for register checks upon employment.
- Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a new employment examination according to current directives, which takes place through occupational health services before employment.
- Good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is required, in addition to a Swedish professional license. The same requirements are guiding for non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
