Do you have experience in mechanical or technical work and an interest in working within the rail industry? We are now looking for an engaged train technician for our depot in Blackvreten, whose tasks involve keeping the Arlanda Express trains running.

About the role

Maintenance and service work is carried out on Arlanda Express trains at the depot in Blackvreten. As a train technician, you have a varied role and work with everything from simple service tasks to more complex interventions in electricity, mechanics, hydraulics, or pneumatics. In the position, you also perform self-inspections and report deviations such as missed deliveries, risk observations, or operational disruptions.

The work is carried out according to established routines, and you have protocols and other work materials to assist you. Depending on the nature of the work, you work individually or in a group and are expected to contribute to good cooperation with colleagues and promote good cohesion within the work group.

Your profile

We are looking for you with a background from industry or another technical operation. You have good experience with tools and mechanics and find it easy to read and interpret documentation and regulations. To succeed in the role, you are unpretentious, have good problem-solving skills, and a high level of safety awareness. We are looking for someone who is curious and ready to take on new challenges with an open and humble attitude.

Since the work is carried out both individually and in groups, you understand the importance of good communication to promote cooperation. You are aware that good communication is crucial for creating a functional cooperation, as this position involves both individual work and group work. Since the Arlanda Express fleet consists of electric multiple units, we would appreciate it if you had some form of electrical training.

The position requires good Swedish skills, both spoken and written, as well as a B driver's license.

Merits for the position include knowledge in one or more of the following areas:

• Vehicle mechanics
• Hydraulics and pneumatics
• Mechatronics or experience as an industrial electrician
• Interpret and apply technical diagrams and drawings

Location: Blackvreten, Arlandastad
Scope: Full-time
Start date: According to agreement
Working hours: Rolling 12-week schedule distributed between daytime 07:00-16:00 and 14:15-00:00, and every fourth weekend 07:00-17:00.
Type: Permanent employment with a 6-month probation period.
