Vittra Röda Stan Primary School and Preschool is looking for a Caretaker (Janitor) at 75%.

About Us:

Vittra Röda Stan is located in central Norrköping, approximately a 10-minute walk from Norrköping Central Station. The primary school opened in autumn 2002, and the preschool in 2010. We offer a 1–16 year perspective under one roof. Today, we have approximately 580 children and students from preschool to grade 9. We have around 70 dedicated and trained staff members across our operations.

Responsibilities

The Caretaker is responsible for, among other things, interior building maintenance, operational services, minor repairs, and maintenance of technical equipment, furniture, and play equipment. As a Caretaker, you will also assist the school with moving furniture and equipment, as well as ordering materials.

You must be able to create an overview of what needs to be done, plan your work, and carry it out safely in accordance with current occupational health and safety legislation. You should be service-oriented and have a natural, welcoming attitude towards children, students, and staff with whom you need to collaborate in various ways. You must be flexible and able to adjust your work schedule at short notice in coordination with the responsible manager.

Depending on your qualifications, you may also be assigned IT responsibilities and perform minor pedagogical tasks, such as accompanying individual students or classes on walks to the sports hall, etc.

Qualifications

We prefer that you have a property maintenance education or relevant work experience for this position. Previous experience as a school caretaker is a plus. Knowledge of electrical systems and fire safety is desirable. A valid Class B driver's license is required. Access to a car with a trailer is an advantage. You must be fluent in Swedish.

Personal qualities will be given great weight.
