About the position

You will work in pairs together with the deputy unit manager in our telephone reception. Your role involves a broad assignment including both patient care and administrative tasks. In the telephone reception, you will assess patients calling directly to us, book emergency appointments, communicate with our partner care units, and act as the site coordinator for our two inpatient wards. In addition to these duties, you will book new patients for assessment, manage our waiting lists, and coordinate consultations on the somatic wards at Södertälje Hospital. This role is central to the reception and clinic, so we believe you will thrive with varied tasks, problem-solving, and cross-unit collaboration.

We are looking for

You who are a trained assistant nurse with previous experience in specialized psychiatry. You enjoy administrative tasks and are computer literate. The position requires you to be self-driven and able to make independent decisions. You are accustomed to working autonomously and express yourself well in both speech and writing. Personal suitability is highly valued.

Applicants must have a diploma from an assistant nurse education and a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare regarding the protected professional title. Applications without diplomas, professional certificates, or certificates will not be considered.

Permanent position, full-time 40 hours/week.

About us

Psychiatry Centre Södertälje has units on the Södertälje Hospital campus and external facilities in Södertälje. Our mission is to provide specialized adult psychiatric care for residents in Södertälje, Salem, and Nykvarn municipalities aged 18 and over.

The activity is a result unit within the Stockholm County Council Healthcare Area (SLSO) and employs approximately 210 staff. The catchment area has approximately 115,000 inhabitants. The clinic consists of three outpatient units and two inpatient wards.

The position is subject to the condition that it does not need to be filled by internal redeployment, according to current regulations.

In patient-facing roles within Stockholm County Council Healthcare Area (SLSO):

  • A background check is conducted prior to employment decisions according to SLSO’s overarching guidelines.
  • Employees with patient contact must undergo a pre-employment health examination through occupational health services before starting employment.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish equivalent to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is required, in addition to Swedish professional licensure. The same requirement applies as a guideline for non-licensed staff with patient contact.
