Dependency Center Stockholm is Sweden's largest dependency clinic. We offer support and assistance to people who have problems with alcohol, narcotics, medication, or gambling. Our operations include acute and 24-hour care, local outpatient care, and highly specialized care. We are also a clinic that provides university healthcare as well as research and education.

The Workplace

Maria Ungdom helps children, adolescents, and young adults who have risky use, harmful use, or dependency on alcohol and other drugs, often in combination with other mental health issues.

We are part of Dependency Center Stockholm and Region Stockholm, and we collaborate with, among others, social services and the police. Responsibilities

The duties of the nurse include telephone counseling, assessment, investigation, shorter and longer treatments, and motivational work with young people, with or under investigation for harmful use and dependency on alcohol, drugs, or medication. We also treat gambling addiction and nicotine and tobacco dependency. Documentation is done in the electronic health record system TakeCare, and we often work in teams with municipal therapists.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a nurse, preferably with further education in psychiatry or child and adolescent health. Meritorious is experience working with young people and their families as well as experience in dependency care. Previous experience in outpatient care is also desirable.

Relapse prevention and MI (Motivational Interviewing) are meritorious but can also be offered within the scope of the position.

Employment Terms

Permanent employment, full-time, and daytime hours. Start date as agreed.

Selection and interviews are conducted continuously.

Dependency Center Stockholm applies alcohol and drug testing as well as extracts from the suspicion and criminal record register prior to new employment.

The position is filled on the condition that it does not need to be taken for internal reassignment, according to current regulations.

In patient-facing work within Stockholm County Council (SLSO):

• A register check is applied before the decision on employment according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for register checks upon employment.
• Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a new employment examination, according to current directives, which takes place through occupational health services before employment.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is required, in addition to a Swedish professional license. The same requirement applies to non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
