Nurse for Psycho Care Stockholm – Ward 141
REGION STOCKHOLMStockholms län, Danderyd
Previous experience is desired
Psycho Care Stockholm is a new unit within the Stockholm County Council healthcare area, where we have consolidated all our existing outpatient clinics and inpatient wards for patients with psychotic illness into a single organizational entity.
Ward 141 treats patients with newly diagnosed psychotic illness. The ward is located at Danderyd Hospital and has 16 beds, one of which is designated for self-referral admission. We have an experienced and dedicated staff group that works with a strong focus on person-centered care and patient involvement.
We are now looking for a nurse for Ward 141 who wants to contribute to our operations.
Responsibilities:
As a nurse, you have a central role as a team leader on the ward and are responsible for leading the nursing care for our patients. You participate in rounds together with doctors and other staff, and perform standard nursing tasks such as venipuncture, medication management, and medical record keeping. We use TakeCare as our medical record system. Your responsibilities also include support conversations with patients, contact with relatives, and coordination with the municipality, outpatient care, and other healthcare providers.
Qualifications:
We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse and have previous experience working in psychiatric care, preferably in inpatient care. We expect you to be confident in your leadership role and to delegate tasks in a clear and fair manner. You are flexible and able to prioritize, plan, and carry out your duties correctly. A specialist education in psychiatry is an advantage.
You collaborate well and communicate effectively with your colleagues, even in stressful situations. It is crucial that you, as a nurse in psychiatric inpatient care, are calm, secure, and sensitive to the patient's needs. You enjoy working closely with patients in their care and can work independently, while also appreciating collaboration with other professional groups to provide the best possible care for the patient.
What do we offer you?
Employment type: Hourly employment (intermittent employment) with an hourly wage.
Working hours: Day/evening or night shifts, as well as weekend work.
We actively work on competence development to improve our operations, offer our patients the best possible care, and strengthen you and your development in your role as a nurse. During your employment, you will be offered ongoing training, both mandatory and based on your own preferences.
As an employer, we care about the health and well-being of our employees and offer among other things:
- Hourly employees (intermittently employed) receive a wellness allowance proportional to the hours worked.
- Multiple insurance policies
Selection and interviews take place on an ongoing basis. We look forward to receiving your application!
The position will be filled provided it does not need to be allocated for internal relocation, according to current regulations.
For patient-facing work within Stockholm County Council:
- A register check is applied before the decision on employment according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for register checks upon employment.
- Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment health examination, according to current directives, which is conducted through occupational health services before employment.
- In addition to a Swedish professional license, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is required. The same requirements are guiding for non-licensed staff with patient contact.
