We are now looking for an independent and structured Digital Archive Specialist for our client in Arboga – one of the leading technical consulting firms in the Nordics with clients within defense, the defense industry, and civil infrastructure. Here you will have an important role in a long-term digitalization project where you are responsible for structuring and building digital archive environments for business-critical information.
About the Role
In the role of Digital Archive Specialist, you will be responsible for initiating and driving the construction of a comprehensive data archive. The project involves structuring, digitizing, and quality-assuring large amounts of documentation, with the goal of creating sustainable and easily accessible digital archive environments. The work involves both practical and administrative responsibilities and requires you to independently plan, structure, and execute the digitization work from scratch. You will, among other things, work with scanning, document management, and improving document quality.
The project is expected to last approximately one year, with a possibility of extension. This is an opportunity to become part of a socially important company in a growth phase. You are offered an important and independent role in a socially important project within the defense industry. You will have the opportunity to build structure and working methods from the ground up and contribute to ensuring long-term information management in a security-classified operation.
Responsibilities
The role entails responsibility for the entire process regarding the construction and maintenance of a digital data archive, from structuring and environment setup to the actual digitization and quality assurance of documents.
- Structure and build digital archive environments.
- Digitize and scan physical documentation.
- Quality-assure and, if necessary, improve documents and scanning materials.
- Organize, categorize, and administer large amounts of data and documentation.
- Ensure order and traceability in archive materials.
- Handle and follow up on administrative processes related to archives and documentation.
- Contribute to the setup and structuring of databases or storage environments if needed.
We are looking for someone who has
- Experience in archive work, document management, and digitization of physical archives.
- Experience in scanning and digitizing older documents.
- Good administrative skills and habit of structured work.
- Good computer and system proficiency.
- Swedish citizenship, as this is required to undergo a security clearance.
It is an advantage if you have
- Experience from authorities, the public sector, or other security-classified operations.
- Knowledge of databases or information structures.
- Experience with long-term digitalization projects.

You thrive with administrative and repetitive tasks while also having the ability to create structure and order even in large volumes of information. Furthermore, you are responsible, methodical, and have an eye for detail and quality.

- Start: As agreed
- Location: Arboga, remote work is not possible
- The position is security-classified, which means a security clearance, including register check, will be conducted in connection with employment (in accordance with Chapter 3, Section 1 of the Security Protection Act).
