About the role

As a Technical Writer, you will be responsible for gathering, processing, and delivering technical information for our client's products and systems. You will be an integral part of the documentation process, working closely with system engineers, trainers, and other specialists to ensure that the documentation is accurate, clear, and user-friendly.

Key responsibilities

The role involves ensuring high-quality technical documentation that supports maintenance and operational processes for complex systems.

• Gather technical information from system engineers, coordinators, and trainers.
• Write and update technical documentation in XML format, including maintenance and troubleshooting instructions.
• Review, translate, and proofread documentation in both Swedish and English.
• Create and update technical illustrations.
• Administer and update document revisions.
• Participate in client meetings to ensure documentation requirements are met.
• Support the team by proofreading colleagues' documents.

We are looking for you who

• Have relevant education in technical documentation, information design, engineering, or a similar field.
• Alternatively, have equivalent work experience, for example, as a maintenance technician.
• Have experience in technical work within automation, rail, aviation, or similar industries.
• Have experience as a technical writer, information designer, or communicator.
• Have excellent skills in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

It is an advantage if you have

• Practical experience in maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Experience working with rail vehicles.
• Knowledge of Arbortext XML, Content Management Systems (CMS), and scripting.
• Understanding of how customers use documentation in the field.
• Ability to adapt documentation to real-world operational and maintenance processes.
• Understanding of and ability to implement customer-driven validation and acceptance criteria.
