Kalmarsunds Gymnasieförbund is a municipal consortium responsible for operating and developing upper secondary education and municipal adult education for the member municipalities of Borgholm, Kalmar, Mönsterås, Mörbylånga, and Torsås. We have approximately 4,000 students and 600 employees distributed across our five schools.

Jenny Nyströmskolan is one of the upper secondary schools in Kalmarsunds Gymnasieförbund and has just over 900 students distributed across six different national programs and three introductory programs. Jenny Nyströmskolan also includes a special needs upper secondary school. We are a forward-thinking school with an open climate that believes in both you as a teacher and our students.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Program Director with us, you have close leadership responsibilities and a strong focus on pedagogical development. You will be responsible for several of the school's different programs by creating the best possible conditions for student learning and employee development and job satisfaction. The role is essentially about creating the best possible conditions for high teaching quality. This is achieved through close collaboration between the school's various professions, with the goal that all students achieve the educational goals based on regulatory documents.

As a Program Director, you work closely with the school's management team and the Principal. The role also includes other school-wide areas of responsibility, which are determined jointly within the management team.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you with relevant education for the position and experience as a school leader, preferably in the later years of upper secondary school.

As a leader, you drive and lead change in the operations in a structured and clear manner, with a focus on goals and results. By adapting your leadership style, you succeed in creating understanding, involvement, and momentum. You create engagement by involving others and leveraging different driving forces, which in turn strengthens the group's motivation and sense of shared responsibility.

With an encouraging and solution-focused approach, you positively influence both the work climate and the results. This also enables you as a leader to support others in maintaining motivation and focus, even in challenging situations. The role also requires strategic thinking, where you have the ability to weigh together complex information and see the long-term significance of decisions. We place great emphasis on personal competencies.
