About Us

The Customs Agency consists of four operational departments: the Control Department, the Revenue Department, the Customs Crime Department, and the Intelligence Department.
The Intelligence Department collects, processes, analyzes, performs risk analyses, and handles intelligence information. The intelligence operations work within all parts of the Customs Agency's mandate, covering both illegal and dangerous goods as well as revenue collection. The work aims to prevent, detect, and stop criminal activity.
The department is divided into four units with geographical responsibilities: South, West, East, and North. It also includes the Customs Agency's Selection Center and the unit for Strategic Analysis and the National Desk.
We are now looking for case officers for the Customs Agency's Selection Center within the courier flow.
About the Position
The Customs Agency's Selection Center is tasked with selecting and profiling, managing risk outcomes, and proposing risk objects in the Customs Agency's operational information with the aim of preventing, stopping, and detecting smuggling crimes.
Leadership and management are largely remote, and as an employee, you work nationally, which means you collaborate with colleagues located in different parts of the country. This places high demands on teamwork and flexibility. Collaboration internally as well as with external authorities is a natural part of the work.
As an employee at the Customs Agency's Selection Center, you are expected to contribute to and work for the continuous development and improvement of operations together with managers and other employees. The work includes, among other things, developing routines and work methods, as well as participating in development work related to the selection area.
The work involves period planning with early mornings. In addition to the Customs Agency's core values, the work should be characterized by quality, proactivity, and collaboration.
Are You the One We Are Looking For?
- We are looking for you who have:
- The Customs Agency's basic training
- Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English
- Very good IT skills and ease in learning new programs and systems
- Experience in data analysis in databases and good knowledge of the Office package, primarily Excel
- Experience in working with and analyzing large amounts of data and information
- Very good teamwork skills and experience working in teams
- Are structured, meticulous, flexible, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Swedish driver's license, at least class B for passenger cars
- Swedish citizenship
It is meritorious if you have:
- Experience in intelligence work at the Customs Agency
- Experience in selection work

Employment type: The position is a parental leave substitute, at the latest until 2027-04-30. Individual salary setting applies.

The position may involve travel, both within and outside Sweden.
To be considered for employment at the Customs Agency, you must meet high demands regarding security and confidentiality awareness, suitability, and compliance with current laws. Security clearance with register check according to the Security Protection Act is conducted before employment, as the position is classified in a security class. The Customs Agency is a total defense agency, and upon employment, you may be assigned to wartime duties at the Customs Agency.
