The Department of Urban Development is responsible for catering and facility maintenance, development, town planning and building permits, parks and green areas, streets, water, and waste. Here, more than 300 employees work together to make Ystad a great municipality to live, work, and thrive in.
We are now looking for an administrator who wants to contribute to a well-functioning and service-oriented operation within Waste and Water.
The role is broad and offers a varied daily routine where you will work with our business systems BFUS and Fetchplanner, including billing and customer contacts. The Waste and Water units have approximately 10,000 customers who are billed for water and sewage as well as waste services provided by the municipality. You will become an important part of ensuring quality, structure, and good service towards our residents.

You will work within both the waste and water operations, with a placement at the Waste Unit, which gives you insight into several parts of the operation. Job Responsibilities
In the role of administrator, you will work with varied administrative and customer-facing tasks, including:
- Handle customer cases within waste and water
- Customer billing within waste and water
- Answer questions regarding invoices, water meters, waste bins, sludge, containers, subscriptions, and "My Pages"
- Manage customer registers and billing data
- Administer moving cases, water readings, and meter changes
- Register and administer tariffs and carry out price changes in business systems within waste and water
- System administrator for BFUS within water
- Contribute to the development of business systems, routines, and administrative processes
In addition, you will play an important role in several development projects within both water and waste. The operations are facing new tariff structures where you will be involved in building and quality-assuring tariffs in the business system to ensure a smooth transition and functioning billing.
The work involves many contact areas, both internally and externally, and you are expected to be able to handle several cases in parallel in a structured manner.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who meet the following requirements:
- Experience in administrative work and customer service
- Documented experience in customer billing, preferably within waste and/or water
- Good computer skills and the ability to quickly get to grips with new systems
- Good understanding of economics and billing processes
- Good proficiency in handling Excel
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility for your tasks
- Good communication skills in Swedish and English, both oral and written

Merits
The following are considered merits:
- Upper secondary education in economics
- Experience working administratively within waste or water operations
- Experience as a system administrator for business systems
- Experience with the systems BFUS or EDP
- Experience working in the public sector
