JOB DESCRIPTION

In connection with leave of absence, we are now looking for a temporary Food Inspector for the Environmental and Urban Planning Administration!

The role involves working with food and drinking water control according to applicable legislation.

The work is varied and developing, and you drive your cases independently, but in close collaboration with your manager and colleagues. We are a small office, which means that as an inspector, you have the opportunity to work broadly within the supervision areas. Since the Sälen Mountains with its tourist facilities are located within the municipality, the number of businesses multiplies during the tourist season. This is in itself a challenge but also creates conditions for multifaceted and stimulating tasks. The role with us involves a lot of contact with businesses and the general public.

As an inspector, you mainly work with supervision cases in our case management system, EDP Vision. The position is part of the environmental office, which consists of eight employees and is led by the administrative director. The office is mainly responsible for supervision and handling according to the Environmental Code, food legislation, and the Alcohol Act. Under the same administration, which consists of just under 20 employees in total, the urban planning office is also located, which is responsible for planning and building issues as well as mapping and surveying activities.

The Environmental and Urban Planning Administration currently staffs two workplaces, in the form of the municipal office in Malung and a service office in Sälen. As an employee of the administration, there is an opportunity to place your office work in one of these locations, or a combination of both.

QUALIFICATIONS

Since the tasks place high demands on your own planning and organizational skills, it is important that you are used to taking responsibility and independently planning and structuring your work on your own initiative. You will be an important part of our current work group, and we want you to enjoy collaborating and supporting others.

We are primarily looking for you who are trained as an inspector or have other relevant university education or work experience in the area that we consider suitable for the position. You have good knowledge of current legislation in the area. Experience of similar work with supervision, handling, or other authority work is highly meritorious. Other work experience in areas that touch upon the current supervision areas can also be meritorious, for example, work in restaurant operations.

In the role, you will have a lot of contact with the general public and businesses. To handle this in the best way, we want you to be receptive and pedagogical in your role as an authority actor, as well as interested in providing good service and a good welcome.

You are easy-going and skilled at communicating both orally and in writing in the Swedish language.

You also need to have good computer skills. A B driver's license is required for the position.
