Job Description

AFRY Environment is now looking for an environmental consultant with a specialization in PFAS for projects concerning contaminated sites. At our company, you will find a modern workplace with challenging assignments, exciting projects, and excellent opportunities for professional development. We are seeking a mid-level or senior colleague with a focus on contaminated sites and PFAS, based at one of our offices across Sweden. You will become part of a group of environmental consultants where we work extensively on a national level, and where collaboration and team spirit are central.

We are looking for someone who can actively contribute to and drive issues forward within the PFAS working group, both operationally and strategically.

The role involves significant personal responsibility and work throughout the entire assignment process, in close collaboration with colleagues both locally and nationally.

Qualifications

Our requirements for candidate selection are that you have:

  • PFAS as a clear focus and area of competence
  • The desire to further develop within the PFAS area
  • Competence in risk assessments and remediation investigations
  • Experience and ability to organize complex projects, manage schedules, and coordinate multiple stakeholders
  • An academic, scientific, or technical degree with a focus on the environmental field
  • Good knowledge of soil science, geochemistry, and the behavior of pollutants in soil and water
  • Professional experience from similar work
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
  • Good knowledge of Swedish environmental legislation
  • Valid driver's license (Category B)

It is meritorious, but not a requirement, if you have:

  • Good understanding of soil remediation techniques and treatment methods (in situ and ex situ)
  • Experience with preliminary studies or other grant-funded projects
  • Own client contacts or the ability to provide references
  • Experience in dialogue with clients and other stakeholders, including presenting assignments and recommendations
  • Consulting experience
