Sometimes our patients are 6 months old, sometimes almost 100 years old. Some have as much education as you, others are illiterate. Some have never been in contact with healthcare before, others have medical records longer than your textbooks.

Job Responsibilities

The work involves all common tasks for a nurse at a health centre. As a nurse in primary care, you meet patients of all ages and from different cultures, both for acute and planned visits as well as telephone advice, etc. The patients have a variety of diseases and problems. The work requires broad competence and independence. You work independently, but the work takes place in close cooperation with other nurses, doctors, and several other professions within healthcare.

Employment Type:

Fixed-term contract, 7 months with possible extension. Full-time, 100%. Working hours Monday–Friday. Start date: May–December.

Qualifications:

Registered Nurse or District Nurse with prescription rights and authorization to practice in Swedish healthcare. Experience of working in Swedish healthcare, preferably in primary care, is meritorious. Good computer skills and experience with the TakeCare medical record system are meritorious.

The clinic is HBTQ-certified. This means that the clinic has/had competence regarding HBTQ issues and that we actively work with visibility and treatment from an HBTQ perspective.

The position will be filled provided it does not need to be taken for internal reassignment, according to current regulations.

For patient-facing work within Stockholm County Council:

- A register check is applied before the decision on employment according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for register checks upon employment.

- Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a new hire examination, according to current directives, which takes place through occupational health services before employment.

- In addition to Swedish professional licensure, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is required. The same requirement is guiding for non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
