Gotland's Youth Clinic is part of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Outpatient Clinic operational area.

Our mission is to work proactively and preventively regarding young people's mental, social, and sexual health. We work in teams, in a cross-professional manner, focusing on our patients to see and support the whole picture of a young person's needs and life context. The team consists of midwives, nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, and counselors.

Your Responsibilities

As a midwife at the Youth Clinic, your main tasks will include contraceptive counseling, STI testing, and conversation support. We work cross-professionally and have close collaboration within the team regarding patient care. Together with your colleagues, you will conduct outreach work, including at all of Gotland's primary schools (grades 7-9), including adapted schools. We also conduct outreach activities at youth centers and other venues where young people gather. This is a varied role with significant opportunities for development.

Who are you?

We are looking for a registered midwife. We prefer candidates with experience working at a Youth Clinic and with SRHR (Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights) issues. However, we welcome applications from newly graduated midwives as well.

You have an engaged and flexible approach; personal suitability is of great importance to us.

A background check via an extract from the criminal record will be conducted prior to the hiring decision.
