Sodexo manages extensive track operations in Västra Götaland, ensuring clean, safe, and welcoming trains for thousands of passengers around the clock. Our teams handle everything from cleaning and vehicle service to ongoing quality control and emergency interventions when vehicles need to be turned around quickly in traffic.

The operation is operational, eventful, and of vital importance to society – and you will become a key person in making it work every day.

About the role

As a team leader with us, no two days are alike. You lead a team of approximately 30–40 employees and work closely with daily operations to ensure our deliveries maintain high quality. You are present in the operations, support your employees, and are there when things happen – both in planned and more unpredictable situations.

You work together with the operations manager, planners, and coordinators and are responsible for several locations including Skövde, Falköping, Mariestad, Lidköping, and Uddevalla.

Working hours vary and include evenings and nights, as our operations run 24/7, 365 days a year. Travel between locations is included.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Leading, coaching, and developing employees in your team
  • Ensuring staffing, working environment, and safety
  • Driving and developing operational activities close to the employees
  • Monitoring quality and building good relationships with the customer
  • Providing employees with the conditions to grow in their roles
  • Handling some administration such as planning, time reporting, and system work

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience leading in a service or operations environment
  • Thrives in interactions with people and is motivated by coaching others
  • Is confident working operationally close to the business and making quick decisions
  • Has experience working with systems and administrative tasks
  • Has a solution-oriented attitude and enjoys a fast pace
  • Is flexible and enjoys varied working hours – including evenings and nights
  • Has a valid driver’s license (Category B) and access to a car
  • Has experience from the rail, transport, or vehicle industry (meritorious)
  • Has good knowledge of English (meritorious)

Employment type

Full-time 100%. We offer a permanent position with an initial probationary period of 6 months.

Working hours according to schedule, with significant work outside office hours.
