Brommagården Care and Support Residence is a dementia care facility with 36 places for people with cognitive impairment. Traneberg Care and Support Residence is a dementia care facility with 44 places for people with cognitive impairment.

Our operations are based on holistic thinking, openness, respectful treatment, and responsibility. The elderly person's integrity and right to make decisions are obvious prerequisites for our work, ensuring that the elderly feel involved in their daily lives and in their care and support. We place great emphasis on a good reception of the elderly and their relatives in various meetings. We work in multiprofessional teams and take part in the elderly person's life story to create security, meaningfulness, and a sense of coherence. We strive for good relationships with relatives and see them as a valuable resource in our work, thus placing great importance on good treatment of the elderly and their relatives.

Your role

You will work in a team in close collaboration with a physiotherapist, nurses, and other care staff. Your position is divided between Brommagården and Traneberg Care and Support Residences. Together with your physiotherapist colleague, you contribute to providing our residents with person-centered, function-preserving care. You provide guidance to care staff to support a health-promoting approach.

The assignment includes standard tasks for an occupational therapist, such as ADL assessments, follow-ups, prescriptions and fittings of assistive devices, assistive device management, and participation in walking and mobility training. As an occupational therapist, your assignment includes being responsible, both independently and together with colleagues and other professional categories, for assessments, interventions, documentation, as well as guidance and education of care staff. Supervision of students may also be included in your assignment.

Your qualifications and experience

You are a licensed occupational therapist, preferably with a few years of work experience as an occupational therapist in elderly care.

As an occupational therapist, it is important that you enjoy working in a team. You find it easy to collaborate with different types of professional categories and with relatives. You are secure and stable and have the ability to see the holistic perspective in the operation when you work. You plan, organize, and prioritize your work in an effective way. You have an openness to improvements and want to contribute to our joint development. You have pedagogical skills and can teach if needed.
