About the Unit

As a School Information Officer, you will become part of the regimental staff at the Southern Scanian Regiment (P 7). As a staff member, you belong to G1, specifically the Personnel Acquisition Section. You work daily with recruitment coordinators and career information officers to support internal and external personnel on and off the regiment. About the Position

As a School Information Officer, you are part of a larger network of School Information Officers placed at various units across Sweden.

Your main task is to increase knowledge about the Swedish Armed Forces. You do this primarily through presentations for students in middle and high schools. You work together with a colleague and are part of a team that plans the operations and supports you in your work.

You also meet the target group in places other than schools. This can be at educational fairs, physical and digital events, trial activities, and through social media. The work involves travel within the region and the rest of Sweden. You visit schools, fairs, and other events where young people are present. Travel is primarily by car and, if necessary, by other means of transport.

You are an important resource for strengthening knowledge about the Swedish Armed Forces as an agency and thereby contributing to increasing the will to defend Sweden.

To fit the role of School Information Officer, we believe you are a person who enjoys being in various social settings and taking initiative in your work. You inspire trust in your interactions with others and have the ability to work towards common goals both independently and in a group. Since you will meet many different people in your work, it is also important that you are flexible in your communication and can adapt your language to the recipient.

We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Information about the Swedish Armed Forces and the recruiting unit

The Southern Scanian Regiment is also known as P 7. P stands for "pansar" (armor) because the regiment primarily uses armored vehicles. We conduct basic military training for conscripts in land combat, mechanized, and motorized combat with the support of our main vehicles: Strv 122, CV9040C, and PB 360.

P 7 has full-time and part-time personnel serving in various positions nationally and internationally.

The Swedish Armed Forces have a strong value base built on openness, results, and responsibility. Professional development and personal health are valued and encouraged. There are good opportunities for internal career mobility, wellness programs, and a good balance between work and private life.

An employment with us involves placement in a security class. Swedish citizenship is usually required. Security screening with register control will be conducted prior to employment according to Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act. Employment entails an obligation to be placed in wartime positions. The employment also includes an obligation to serve abroad. The meaning of this varies depending on the type of position.

A CV and cover letter must be attached to the application for employment. If you proceed in the employment process, certified copies of grades and certificates must always be presented. Calls from external recruitment agencies and salespeople are declined.
