Retail Assistant at Kötthallen – Meat Counter, Customer Service & Sales

About the Role

Kötthallen is currently looking for 4–5 dedicated retail assistants for our stores in Järfälla and Kungens Kurva. This role is perfect for you who enjoy customer interaction, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and want to work with high-quality meat products in a retail setting where service, sales, and organization are key.

The work is primarily conducted behind the meat counter and involves assisting customers, handling meat products, restocking goods, and contributing to a positive shopping experience. The position is physically demanding and can be stressful at times, so we are looking for someone who is hardworking, stress-resistant, and in good physical shape.

You must be able to work in both of our stores, located in Järfälla and Kungens Kurva.

The employment level is 50–100 %, depending on needs and agreement.

Your Responsibilities

As a retail assistant with us, you will primarily work with:

• Serving and customer service behind the meat counter
• Trimming and handling meat products
• Sales and active customer contact
• Restocking and product display
• Maintaining cleanliness, tidiness, and organization in the work area
• Following hygiene, food safety, and quality routines
• Contributing to a positive customer experience and a good work climate
• Working hours include weekdays, weekends, afternoons, and evenings

We are looking for someone who is service-oriented, responsible, and enjoys working closely with customers. You need to be comfortable with physical work where the pace is sometimes high, especially during weekends and intense sales periods.

Previous experience from retail, meat counters, food service, restaurants, or sales is advantageous, but the most important thing is that you have the right attitude and willingness to learn.

Qualifications

We would appreciate it if you:

• Have experience in retail, food, meat, charcuterie, restaurants, or sales
• Have an interest in food, meat products, and customer service
• Can work in both Järfälla and Kungens Kurva
• Can handle active work
• Can work at a fast pace when needed
• Speak Swedish well to provide good customer service
• Are meticulous about hygiene, order, and routines

Previous experience in meat cutting or working behind a meat counter is advantageous but not an absolute requirement for the right person.
