The role of a nurse within the group and service housing for people with disabilities is challenging, rewarding, and varied. The work is centered around the resident, guided by Borlänge Municipality's core values:

We are currently seeking a responsible nurse for our group and service housing. You will work in a team of four nurses, where three focus on group and service housing and one focuses on social psychiatry. You will be part of the patient-centered team, meaning you will collaborate closely with other nurses, care staff, rehabilitation personnel, doctors, and other professionals both internally and externally.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse, you are responsible for municipal healthcare services for patients in disability services. You plan your own work setup based on your assessments, allowing for a degree of autonomy within your area of responsibility. You collaborate closely with unit managers, care staff at the housing facilities, and other healthcare providers.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Mentoring and education for residents, relatives, employees, and students
  • Medication management
  • Medical assessments, interventions, and follow-ups
  • Delegation of tasks
  • Documentation
  • Collaboration with other professions and healthcare providers
  • Participation in SIP (Individual Plan) meetings and team meetings
  • Participation in various collaboration forms and networks

QUALIFICATIONS

Basic requirements for the position:

  • Licensed Nurse with at least 1 year of clinical experience, with an interest in patients with functional variations and/or psychiatric diagnoses.
  • Excellent Swedish language skills, both spoken and written.
  • Valid B-driver's license.

Personal qualities:

You should feel confident in your professional role as a nurse and be able to work independently, using your assessments to guide your work plan. You are positive and proactive, and feel secure in prioritization and planning. You collaborate well with others, are an effective listener, and possess strong communication skills.

Meritorious qualifications:

  • Previous experience in municipal healthcare, psychiatry, and disability services.

Salary: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent.
Working hours: Daytime.
