Department 76 specializes in general internal medicine, and our patients have a broad spectrum of internal medical diagnoses. Our goal is the care and treatment of the acutely ill patient. We have direct intake from the emergency department around the clock, as well as taking over patients from other hospital units, meaning you will encounter and care for patients with both acute and chronic conditions.

Job Description

As an Assistant Nurse Unit Manager here, you will have an independent and varied assignment with good opportunities to plan and structure your working day. Your immediate team consists of the Nurse Unit Manager, another Assistant Nurse Unit Manager, and the medically responsible physician. Together, we create an open and non-hierarchical work climate where cooperation, trust, and loyalty are central. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting and developing our employees, strengthening cooperation and cohesion, and thereby contributing to safe, secure, and high-quality care. If you have a strong interest in leadership and operational development, this is the right position for you.

The Nurse Unit Manager has overall responsibility for the department's operations, personnel, and economy. As an Assistant Nurse Unit Manager, you are a key person and a close support in this assignment. Together, you work on planning, leading, developing, and monitoring the operations. You are an important part of creating a good work climate through present, accessible, and inclusive leadership. You are visible in daily work, have ongoing dialogue with employees, and promote clear and well-functioning teamwork where everyone strives towards common goals.

Your duties include daily planning of operations, staffing, and scheduling. You lead and coach employees, plan for competence development, and organize the introduction and follow-up of new colleagues. An important part of the assignment is to drive quality and improvement work and to develop the unit in a positive direction. To ensure you are well rooted in the operations and nursing issues, clinical service as a nurse is a natural part of the role.

Qualifications

Licensed nurse with several years of experience in emergency care. Previous experience in management/leadership is meritorious. A Master's degree in nursing and leadership training is considered meritorious.

Other Information

  • Permanent, full-time 100%
  • 50% Assistant Nurse Unit Manager and 50% clinical service
  • You work mostly during daytime, but the clinical service also includes evenings and weekend shifts (every fourth weekend)
  • Start date according to agreement
