Capio Geriatrics Dalen has extensive and broad experience in providing geriatric care. In September, we are opening a new ward with 24 beds, and we are therefore looking for new employees who want to be part of opening and developing a modern geriatric ward.

We offer inpatient geriatric care with direct intake around the clock, year-round. Patients arrive via inpatient care, the emergency department, ambulance, urgent care, nursing homes, and primary healthcare centers. We also have a specialist clinic for the investigation of cognitive impairment.

The hospital area also provides access to X-ray and a nearby laboratory.

Ward 71 is a general geriatric ward with 24 beds, specialized in geriatric investigation, treatment, and nursing. Common diagnoses include infections, cardiovascular diseases, renal failure, COPD, and diabetes. The goal during the period of care is good person-centered care with high patient safety, where everyone feels welcome and respected. The geriatric patient is complex, which is why a multiprofessional team consisting of various professions is needed for safe and well-functioning care.

Your duties will include basic nursing care, venous blood sampling, ECG, bladder scan, catheterization, NEWS scoring, wound care, as well as some team tasks. The nursing assistant has a clear role in medical rounds and theme conferences. You will also have a clear role in the ward's quality and development work. We work in a person-centered manner, and all important decisions regarding the patient's nursing and treatment are made jointly within the team.

Working hours: 21:00–07:15

We are looking for you who are trained as a nursing assistant and have at least 1 year of experience working on a care ward as well as night shifts. It is meritorious if you have some years of experience in clinical work within geriatrics or internal medicine. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, and we would appreciate it if you also possess other language skills.

You are unpretentious and treat people with respect. You work in a person-centered way and are interested in developing yourself, your colleagues, and the operations. You combine independent work with a very good ability to collaborate and prioritize, and you have good communication skills. Naturally, you believe it is important to work with and develop patient safety and the working environment. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.
