Occupational Therapist for Habiliteringscenter Järva Adults

We are looking for a driven and flexible occupational therapist for a parental leave vacancy!

About Us:

Habiliteringscenter Järva Adults is one of our outpatient clinics for adults aged 18 and over with congenital or early-acquired disabilities. The unit is located in Rinkeby.

The unit serves people residing in the Järva district area as well as Sundbyberg, and 8 people work here. The unit shares management with Habiliteringscenter Brommaplan Adults, where 16 people work.

The habilitation center specializes in providing care to people with disabilities, such as intellectual disability, motor impairment, and autism. Through support, strategies, and treatment, we create conditions for the patient to function as well as possible in their daily life.

About the Position:

The habilitation offers interventions both individually and in groups. As needed, in the patient's immediate environment or at another suitable location. The work is carried out individually but also together with team colleagues, relatives, or networks. On the unit, we are a total of 8 employees who share premises with the child habilitation.

Your tasks will include mapping and assessing patients' abilities and needs, planning therapeutic interventions, carrying them out, and issuing certificates if necessary. Together with patients and relatives, you will develop strategies and, if necessary, test out, prescribe, and follow up on individually adapted assistive devices. Our patients often have complex needs requiring collaboration with care partners, networks, municipal activities, and other authorities.

About You:

We are looking for you who are a licensed occupational therapist or at the end of your occupational therapy education, who is structured and at the same time flexible to handle and enjoy the varied and complex work content in our operations. It is an advantage if you have experience with the disabilities included in Habilitering & Hälsa's mission.

You are a person who is proactive, interested in development, and motivated by finding solutions focused on the patient. You like to work independently as well as in a team and take personal responsibility for planning, developing, and driving patient work forward in a structured manner. Since the unit shares management with Habiliteringscenter Brommaplan Adults, we also see that you are flexible in your working method as the units support each other regarding patients and interventions.

You have good computer skills and experience working with digital meeting tools as some meetings take place remotely. Here, you need to have the ability to collaborate and be driven by collegial learning as you work in close cooperation with other professional categories at your unit.

Employment Type:

Fixed-term contract (parental leave replacement), 10 months, full-time (100 %). Start date in September or as agreed.

The position is filled subject to it not being needed for internal reassignment, according to current regulations.

For patient-facing work within the Stockholm County Healthcare Region (SLSO):

• A register check is applied before the decision on employment according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for register checks upon employment.
• Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a new employment health examination, according to current directives, which takes place through occupational health services before employment.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is required, in addition to a Swedish professional license. The same requirement is indicative for non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
