The Social Services Administration in Järfälla Municipality is responsible for operations within elderly care, disability services, the labor market, and individual and family care (IFO). The administration's work is characterized by courage, engagement, and flexibility – and we do it together.
We are now looking for a Medically Responsible for Rehabilitation (MAR). The role of MAR involves, together with the MAS (Medically Responsible for Health Care), responsibility for developing and ensuring the quality of municipal health and medical care. As MAR, you will have the opportunity to actively shape the municipality's rehabilitation strategy and development work at a comprehensive level, together with the MAS and operational managers. Your expertise will be central to ensuring good, safe, and high-quality care.
You are organizationally placed within the Social Services Administration's support staff, together with, among others, the MAS. In your role, you are expected to collaborate with all functions within the support staff and, in particular, with the operations throughout the administration.

Job Responsibilities
The duties of the MAR include, among other things:
- Ensure, in accordance with the Health and Medical Care Ordinance, that rehabilitation and habilitation within disability support, social psychiatry, and elderly care are appropriate, safe, and maintain high quality.
- Initiate and drive development and improvement work to strengthen and further develop the municipality's rehabilitation services.
- Develop and monitor overarching routines for, e.g., medical technology products, record keeping, and handling of assistive devices, as well as identify areas for improvement and propose changes to increase patient safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Develop processes, guidelines, and routines in collaboration with the operations and the MAS, ensuring that routines comply with current legislation and regulations.
- Promote good collaboration with external actors such as the region, primary care centers, specialized rehabilitation, psychiatry, infection control, and infection prevention, to ensure cohesive and quality-assured rehabilitation for patients.
- Conduct quality reviews and follow-ups.
- Handle deviations and investigate serious incidents (Lex Maria), in collaboration with the MAS.
- Educate in functional preservation measures/rehabilitation and fall prevention.
Qualifications
The role of MAR assumes that you are communicative and pedagogical. You have an easy way with expressing yourself in speech and writing, and you work systematically and methodically while being interested in quality developing the operations. With your specialist knowledge, you have a professional approach and you work carefully and consciously towards set goals. Being able to collaborate well with others and having a good ability to create positive working relationships is a prerequisite for fulfilling the assignment.
Your profile:
- Hold a university degree as a licensed occupational therapist or physiotherapist.
- Have several years of experience in rehabilitation within municipal health and medical care.
- Have good knowledge of relevant legislation for the assignment, such as relevant regulations, patient safety, and management systems.
- Express yourself well in Swedish, both in speech and writing.
Meritorious:
- Experience in management or leadership.
- Experience in quality and development work.
- Currently working or previously worked as a MAR.
Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
